Congressman J. Dennis Hastert, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, will give the keynote address at this year’s Tire Industry Honors Awards Ceremony on Monday, November 3, in Las Vegas. Hastert’s keynote address will cover pending legislative issues such as the effort to repeal the estate tax, the transportation infrastructure bill and the need for small businesses to become actively involved in the legislative process.
As the longest serving Republican Speaker in history, we are truly honored to have Congressman Hastert with us for this event especially since it takes place the night before the election,” said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.
Speaker Hastert served 20 years in the House, from 1987 to 2007. He represented Illinois’ 14th congressional district and served as Speaker of the House from 1997 until his retirement in 2007. Since then, Hastert has worked on various projects in the areas of education, transportation and energy. He served as a member of the board of Advance Illinois, is on the board of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and is a Senior Advisor at Dickstein Shapiro LLP.
The Tire Industry Honors Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday, November 3 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, prior to the Global Tire Expo. Complimentary tickets to attend the Tire Industry Honors are available at tireindustry.org/global-tire-expo.
