Kenda Tire USA revealed its new light truck all-terrain tire, the Klever A/T2, to tire dealers at the SpeedVegas track south of the strip in Las Vegas during the 2019 SEMA Show.
The Klever A/T2 was designed to offer great ride comfort on-road while maintaining a strong off-road capability for SUV, light truck and 4×4 owners, Kenda says. The tire has a sidewall designed to protect against cuts, tears and abasions as well as interlocking tread blocks created in an A/B pattern for traction.
The company gave dealers and members of the media the opportunity to test the tires in both on- and off-road applications against competitors’ products on a custom track.

For winter driving conditions, the Klever A/T2 is backed with a three-peak mountain snowflake certification on all sizes.
Brandon Stotsenburg, vice president of automotive sales at Kenda, says this tire will offer consumers a 50,000-mile limited warranty for LT applications and a 60,000-mile limited warranty for P-Metric/Metric fitments. The initial rollout of the tire will be in 40 sizes, ranging from 15- to 20-in. fitments, with additional size expansions planned if consumer and industry demands require.
“The new Klever A/T2 is the latest demonstration of our mantra of providing consumers with a premium product at a value price on our products,” Stotsenburg said.
The Klever A/T2 was designed, developed and had compound formulas tested at Kenda’s American Technical Center in Akron, Ohio, and will be produced at Kenda’s new Vietnam production facility.
During this year’s SEMA show, attendees can see the tire on display at the Kenda Tires booth, located in the South Hall (#40027) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
