Kenda USA has partnered with WBNS-10TV in Columbus, Ohio, to educate teens about defensive driving.
The three defensive driving events are part of “Maria’s Message,” a public service campaign, and will allow groups of drivers to gain classroom and road experience with Mid-Ohio instructors. Kenda will also be onsite providing tire safety tips to attendees.
“Maria’s Message is such an important and necessary effort that Kenda Tires is proudly supporting. Our focus at the distracted driving events will be educating the community on the importance of tire safety, a subject matter that does not get enough awareness,” said Jeff Pizzola, COO at Kenda Tires USA.
Maria Tiberi, 21, was killed in September 2013 in a distracted driving accident near Hilliard, Ohio. In February, WBNS-10TV launched “Maria’s Message” through a series of public service announcements.
More than 100 teens will have the opportunity to attend the class free of charge. For more information on Maria’s Message, please visit mariasmessage.com.
