Ken-Tool Launches New Twist Sockets

Removing a nut or bolt with damaged or rounded hex surfaces, or severely corroded and frozen threads, can be a problem. Ken-Tool says the solution is its Twist Socket that uses an integral counterclockwise spiral surface to grip a damaged bolt head or nut to allow it to be removed.

The maker says the Twist Socket can be used with a ratchet wrench, a breaker bar or an air-impact wrench and can be used effectively on pipes, pipe caps, nipples or reducers as well as frozen studs. The line encompasses light-duty, 1/4-inch (6.35mm), medium-duty 3/8-inch (9.5mm) and heavy-duty 1/2-inch (1.3 cm) drive applications. Each socket is precision CNC-machined from SAE 4140 steel, heat-treated for durability, then black oxide-coated for corrosion resistance, Ken-Tool says.

Twist Sockets are available individually or in sets with an organizer bar or in an impact-resistant carrying case.

NRS Brakes has designed galvanized brake pads for the Tesla Model 3 specifically for electric/hybrid vehicle technology.

The company says (ADAS) vehicles demand a higher quality of all parts, especially safety items such as brakes.

As moisture creeps through the porous nature of the friction material, it is compromising the untreated backing plat, NRS Brakes says. Usually, moisture in the friction material is dissipated as heat is created through normal braking routines.
