Investment Group Ups Stake in A-V

(Akron/Tire Review) Russian Newswire reports that Alfa Group plans to increase its stake in Amtel-Vredestein NV to 26.14%.

Alfa has filed paperwork with the Dutch government to confirm its cumulative holdings, which it acquired on the London Stock Exchange.

According to Alfa, “We continue to have a very positive outlook for Amtel-Vredestein and expect the value of our investment to grow significantly. We look forward to continuing close cooperation with Sudhir Gupta (A-V’s primary owner), and we also pledge our full support to the company, including its AV-TO distribution and retail subsidiary."
