Tyres & Accessories has learnt that Double Coin manufacturer Shanghai Tire and Rubber Co. is to open a European subsidiary called CMA Europe.
CMA and Inter-Sprint will share marketing duties while the Dutch company will be responsible for distribution. The European agreement does not include the U.K. where Double Coin truck tyres are distributed by Kirkby Tyres.
In addition, Inter-Sprint and CMA Europe will both appear at the Reifen show in Essen, emphasising the businesses’ dual strategy. The Dutch company plans to use the exhibition to show off its private and exclusive brands, with new patterns in its summer range and the introduction of a new Roadhog winter tyre expected.
