Innova Electronics Corp. has formed a new division, Innova Telematics Solutions, following the acquisition of Aftermarket Telematics Technologies (ATT) and its Vehimatics connected car technology.
The new division will be headed by Mike Fitzgerald, who will serve as executive vice president and general manager, and Jim Dykstra, former president of ATT, who will serve as director of telematics.
“By combining Innova Fleet Services and Vehimatics connected car technology under one umbrella, we are able to offer a full suite of telematics solutions to the automotive aftermarket,” said Fitzgerald. “Whether a parts distributor, service provider or fleet manager, Innova Telematics Solutions can provide the business intelligence, remote diagnostics, and parts and vehicle management technology needed to compete.”
Dykstra, the founder of ATT in 2011 while serving as CEO of Dykstra’s Auto Service, will bring extensive telematics background to Innova. He also formed Dytech Automotive Group in 2015 to help lead currently owned shops and set the strategy for future shop acquisitions and is an active member of the auto care industry. He currently serves on the Auto Care Association board of directors and its telematics work group.
Innova Telematics Solutions’ headquarters will be located at Innova’s corporate offices in Irvine, Calif.
