India’s government is investigating allegations that Chinese-made TBR tires are being sold in the country at dumping prices, Tyres & Accessories reports.
The Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA), on behalf of several domestic tire manufacturers, has filed an application with the government to conduct an anti-dumping investigation. The association is seeking the implementation of anti-dumping duties against these tires.
The Ministry of Commerce’s Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties investigation covers new tubed or tubeless truck and bus radial tires imported between July 2014 to June 2015. The investigation may be extended to cover previous years.
