Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc. (IMT), an Oshkosh Corp. company, is showcasing its new Dominator III mechanics truck, an enhanced Dominator I package, 12,000-pound telescopic crane, and air compressor at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017 in Las Vegas.
“The core values IMT have always relied on – tried-and-true durability, reliability, value innovation and delighting customers – continue to influence every enhancement and upgrade we make to our mechanics trucks,” said Jim Hasty, general manager of IMT. “Increasing the capacity of the Dominator III and 12,000-pound crane package is a direct response to our customers’ evolving needs.”
The Dominator III model’s weight has also been reduced by more than 500 pounds, while maintaining stability and providing extra lift performance in critical work zones, IMT said. The new mechanics truck can also lift more than 10,000-pound maximum offered by the Dominator II.
IMT also updated the Dominator I mechanics truck crane body to support an 8600 crane package. Plus, the 12,000-pound telescopic crane was upgraded for increased capacity, most evident when lifting between 15 and 60 degrees. The IMT 12,000-pound crane features a 30-foot 11-inch maximum horizontal reach and complements the new, lighter Dominator III body, IMT adds.
The upgraded IMT CAS40P air compressor — now called CAS40P-AW—can be used in all weather conditions and features a thermal valve in the hydraulic circuit of the machine. The compressor also features the option to locate gauges on either side of the package, and a new three-in-one compressor discharge design.
