Hunter Engineering Co.’s Quick Tread system is now available in a new flush mount design.
According to Hunter, the new design eliminates obstructions or obstacles in the inspection lane and helps offer a smooth drive-through inspection experience. Also a new embedded control box, both weather-resistant and dust-proof, acts as the brain of the Quick Tread system, Hunter said.
The system automatically measures the tread depth of each tire in seconds by capturing 280,000 data points across a two-inch segment of the tire, Hunter adds.
From these data points the Quick Tread system creates a three-dimensional model of the customer’s tire and can present the results in a digital report and on a printout to share with customers.
The system is powered by Hunter’s WinAlign software and no Internet connection is needed to process measurements. There are also no recurring monthly subscription fees.
The Quick Tread system can be purchased as a stand-alone system or can be paired with Hunter’s Quick Check system.
