Hunter Introduces Road Force Elite Balancer with Vision System

HunterEngineeringRF-ELITEHunter Engineering Co. has launched the Road Force Elite diagnostic wheel balancer featuring the company’s patented vision system.

The vision system determines wheel dimensions and wheel runout measurements on the Road Force Elite to save time, eliminate data entry errors, ensure accuracy and enhance ease-of-use, Hunter said. The system also performs a 3D scan of the wheel.

The balancer’s load roller applies up to 1,250 pounds of force against the tire to measure the assembly at the weight it would have applied to it under the vehicle. The roller also features StraightTrak, which diagnoses and solves tire pull. Additionally, Force Matching guides the technician to index and match the lowest spot on the rim with the stiffest spot on the tire.

According to Hunter, the Road Force Elite performs both a traditional balance and Road Force Measurement in less time than it takes to complete a conventional balance. The balancer also reports to HunterNet, the company’s Web-based data service.
