Hercules Chooses Simpson to Lead Marketing

(Akron/Tire Review) Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has named Joshua Simpson as its new vice president of marketing.

He will be responsible for developing product and marketing strategies for Hercules’ private and associate brands and coordinating domestic and international marketing efforts, according to the company.

Simpson joined Hercules in July 2006 as marketing director. He will report to Larry Seawell, Hercules’ president and CEO.

The tires are labeled as snow tires, but do not have sufficient traction to perform in all snow weather conditions, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
