Since opening its plant in Clarksville, Tennessee last year, Hankook Tire America has made hiring veterans a priority, The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports.
The company told the news outlet in a recent story that about 20% of its Clarksville plant employees are former U.S. military members, and it wants to see that number grow over time.

Hankook’s $800 million manufacturing facility brought nearly 1,000 jobs to the local economy, a total that was expected to climb to 1,800 as infrastructure expanded after its opening. In addition, Hankook moved its American headquarters to Nashville last year and has hired more than 100 local employees to oversee operations there.
