Hankook Tire will outfit some new Porsche Macan as original equipment. The high performance SUV will feature Hankook’s Ventus S1 evo2 SUV in select sizes.
The Porsche Macan will feature the Ventus S1 evo² SUV in either 18 or 19 inch diameter in mixed tire sizes: 235/60R18 (front) and 255/55R18 (rear) or 235/55R19 (front) and 255/50R19 (rear).
Hankook said the UHP Ventus S1 evo2 SUV, designed for SUVs and CUVs, has been engineered with technology developed from the company’s experience as the official tire supplier for the European DTM racing series. The tire offers drivers exceptional braking in both wet and dry conditions, excellent cornering grip, and thermal ageing resistance, according to Hankook.
This is the first time Porsche will be OE shoed with Hankook’s UHP tires, the tiremaker said.
