Hankook Going Extras With Hot Tire Promo

Following the success of its baseball-themed “Great Catch” consumer promotion earlier this year, Hankook Tire America is back in the batter’s box with an extra inning.

The new “Great Hit Rebate and Car Giveaway” – with a top prize of a 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 – will run from Sept. 1 through Nov. 30.

Consumers who purchase four select tires of any size from an authorized dealer are eligible for a mail-in rebate up to $60. Eligible tires include the Hankook Ventus AS RH07, Ventus V12 evo, Ventus V4 ES, and the Optimo H727.
Hankook is also offering consumers the opportunity to register and win the Mustang Shelby GT500 in a random drawing, with no purchase necessary.

“We had a tremendous response to the spring ‘Great Catch’ promotion. The rebate offer was well received by consumers, and, of course, our dealers appreciated the extra traffic and sales that incentives like this bring to their businesses,” said Bill Bainbridge, Hankook director of brand communications. “Now with our fall ‘Great Hit’ promotion, we’ve enhanced the consumer rebate and more than doubled the value of the car that we’re giving away, providing customers another compelling reason to consider Hankook, directing them to our website and ultimately into our retail points-of-sale.”

Information about both the mail-in rebate and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Giveaway can be found online at hankooktireusa.com/greathit.

Hankook said it is supporting the promotion with ads in consumer publications and an increase in TV advertising on ESPN, MLB Network, Versus, Speed and TBS.
