For the second straight year, Hankook Tire Co. has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World).
The DJSI, launched in 1999 as a joint product of S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM, is the first global index to track financial, environmental, and social influence of the top 2,500 global companies in terms of market capitalization. The DJSI is composed of sustainability leaders in each industry group as identified through a corporate sustainability assessment.
Since its first inclusion in 2016, Hankook has engaged proactively in corporate social responsibility (CSR) with its employees through seven different CSR committees within the company.
“Being included in the DJSI World Class for the second consecutive year is a great honor and proves Hankook Tire’s capability as a globally sustainable company,” said Seung Hwa Suh, vice chairman and CEO of Hankook Tire. “Hankook Tire will not only promise to achieve the CSR Roadmap until 2020, but we will also fulfill our responsibility as a global top-tier company.”
Hankook Tire established an Integrated CSR Management System to promote its multiple corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
