Hankook Tire America Corp. has launched two new commercial tires for regional haul applications: the AH37 and DH37.
The new AH37 and DH37 tires both incorporate structural designs to facilitate lower rolling resistance and greater fuel efficiency, plus 3D Kerf Technology for better traction, increased mileage and improved tread wear, Hankook said. Both tires are also SmartWay and CARB certified.
“Hankook continues to bring the latest tire technology to the commercial market,” said Brian Sheehey, senior director, Hankook Tire America Corp. “The AH37 and DH37 tires offer a new element of performance and durability to Hankook’s TBR portfolio.”
Engineered for regional haul fitments on truck and bus applications, the AH37 is a steer/all-position axle tire designed to offer longer tread life, fuel efficiency and durability in intense driving conditions, Hankook said. The tire’s optimized footprint offers improved traction and mileage performance for a smoother ride and better handling, and the enhanced kerf design displaces water for road grip in adverse weather conditions, the tiremaker adds.
The DH37, for school buses and regional haul trucks, is designed for extreme mileage and excellent traction in all road conditions. The DH37 features a large footprint and aggressive tread design to perform well in all weather conditions, Hankook said.
