TIA reports that both exhibitor and hotel registrations are up for the 2012 Global Tire Expo at the SEMA Show.

Hotel reservations for the show are up 31% from this time last year, TIA claimed, and the association expects that the 2012 GTE will "exceed the popularity of last year’s convention, which saw the record breaking attendance of 132,000 industry business leaders and 61,000 buyers." 

TIA reminds that online registration remains open at its website at tireindustry.org. The Cosmopolitan hotel will again serve as TIA’s host hotel and also is accepting reservations from TIA’s website.

Up 7% from last year, there are currently 231 exhibitors signed on for the GTE alone, which will be held in conjunction with the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Of those exhibitors, TIA said 42 will be making a first-time appearance at GTE.

TIA special events take place Monday, Oct. 29, and the GTE itself runs from Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 2.
