GRI Managing Director is Chairman of Sri Lanka Export Board

The president of Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, has appointed Prabhash Subasinghe, managing director of GRI, as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB).

Prabhash Subasinghe has a degree in applied economics and business from Cornell University and subsequent higher studies at Harvard Business School.

The EDB is Sri Lanka’s organization for the promotion and development of exports. Its aim is to position Sri Lanka as a prominent export hub for innovative products and services.

Prabhash Subasinghe holds leadership positions in many organizations and envisions being a catalyst for the next generation of growth, while working toward achieving new heights in the rubber and seafood industry in Sri Lanka, GRI says.

Nokian Tyres releases 2023 sustainability report

Highlights of the company’s sustainability actions in 2023 include a commitment to achieve science-based net-zero emissions by 2050.

Nokian Tyres recently published its Sustainability Report 2023. According to the report, Nokian Tyres achieved several external sustainability ratings, such as inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index, platinum medal from EcoVadis, an AAA rating from MSCI and a leadership-level score of A- on the CDP Climate report.
