A tire with Goodyear’s exclusive DuraSeal features a gel that quickly seals punctures up to a quarter-inch in diameter in the repairable tread area.

Joseph Copeland, vice president of Goodyear commercial tire systems, said the company’s self-sealing tire innovation is focused on truck drivers working in tough environments, as well as lowering a trucking fleet’s overall cost of operations. “Certainly, we are very pleased with the recognition of the new application of DuraSeal.  It is confirmation that this technology is delivering great performance and value for our customers.” (Tire Review/Akron)
