Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will raise prices on select consumer tire lines, the tiremaker confirmed in a statement to Tire Review.
Most lines will increase prices up to 3%, effective Sept. 1.
The increase, which Goodyear says covers all brands, applies to the U.S. only and “is in response to rising costs and reflects the strong value of the Goodyear brands,” the company said in a statement.
In its second-quarter financial statement for 2018, Goodyear cited “escalating raw material costs” and “weakening foreign currencies in foreign markets” as conditions affecting its operations.
