Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has published the 20th edition of is Goodyear Aviation Tire Calendar.
“Over the last two decades, the Goodyear Aviation Tire Calendar has become a sought-after collectible among aviation enthusiasts,” said Bert Aertssen, general manager, global aviation, Goodyear. “Aviation enthusiasts the world over look forward to its publication.”
Every year the calendar has featured an aircraft of historical significance, the tiremaker said.
This year’s calendar features the NC21104, a 1938 Stinson SR-10 that was manufactured for Shell Oil Company. Jimmy Doolittle, the company vice president, flew the plane prior to his service in World War II.
The plane is a four-passenger, one-crew plane that features a “Gull” wing design. A 260-horsepower engine powers the plane.
Stinson produced the SR-10 from 1938 until the beginning of World War II.
Calendars are available for purchase on the Goodyear Aviation website.
