Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is recalling certain Fortera HL P255/65R18 109S tires, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall affects roughly 48,512 tires manufactured between November 30, 2014, and January 10, 2015.
During routine testing, Goodyear found that some Fortera HL tires could experience small cracks in the tread. The tiremaker contacted the NHTSA as well as General Motors, which used the tires as OE on several of its vehicles. GM chose to stop selling affected cars, including 2015 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia, until the recall was official. https://www.tirereview.com/gm-stop-vehicle-sales-due-tire-recall/
