Prospective interns must apply for the limited positions and will be selected through a competitive process, the company said.
"Goodyear is always looking for the best and brightest people who are interested in IT careers," said Stephanie Wernet, Goodyear’s vice president of IT and chief information officer. "All IT jobs are not being sent overseas; in fact, we are continually recruiting for both new graduates and experienced IT professionals right here in Akron. We are excited to be partnering with the Akron public school systems to have some of their best students join our Goodyear IT team."
