Goodyear Launches Armor Max Commercial LT Tires

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has launched four all-new commercial-duty light truck tires featuring its Armor Max technology.

The four new load range E tires include the Unisteel G949 RSA and G947 RSS all-position tires and Unisteel G933 RSD and G971 drive tires for heavy pickups, delivery vans and trucks up to 14,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (Class 3).

A complete line of retreads for those tires also is available, Goodyear said.

The tires, said Steve McClellan, vice president of Goodyear’s commercial tire systems, are constructed with steel-reinforced sidewalls and steel belts, and were designed to provide long mileage and durability for greater retreadability. (Tire Review/Akron)

Double Coin adds two all-steel ST radial sizes to its RT500 tire lineup

These include ST235/80R16 and ST235/85R16 sizes and are designed explicitly for high-speed trailer use.

CMA and Double Coin have introduced two new all-steel ST radial tires to the Double Coin lineup. The additions are 16-in. sizes, expanding on the RT500 model. These include ST235/80R16 and ST235/85R16 sizes and are designed explicitly for high-speed trailer use, CMA/Double Coin said.

"These additions fill a need our customers have asked about for some time," said Aaron Murphy, senior vice president at Double Coin. "We’re excited that the time has arrived to add these quality trailer tires to our Double Coin stable of products.”
