Fourth CITExpo Deemed Huge Success, 2007 Show Set

(Akron/Tire Review) The fourth annual China International Tire Expo (CITExpo) drew to a close Sept. 8, and was deemed a “record breaking success.”

Held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center, the three-day event saw some 200 exhibitors showcase their latest products and technology in a 10,000-square-meter exhibition area.

Officials said CITExpo boasted a 60% increase of exhibition space and 40% increase in number of exhibitors over the 2005 event.

According to CITExpo, the show was visited by some 6,800 people, including 2,800 overseas visitors from 97 countries.

Tire Review served as the officialNorth American media sponsor of CITExpo.

Organizers said that more than 60% of the 2006 exhibitors had already committed to the 2007 event, including 16 new exhibitors, and show floor space has already been expanded by 30% for the 2007 CITExpo.

Show organizers said they “successfully implanted from Germany one of the most famous events in the automobile manufacturing industry, Automotive Testing Expo, which was held concurrently with CITExpo.”

“The synergy of the two events being held together at the same place, same time indeed attracted a lot of decision makers, engineers, and parts buyers of the car makers and parts makers from all around China,” CITExpo officials aid.

CITExpo 2007 will be held in Sept. 12-14, 2007 in this same exhibition hall in Shanghai.
