For the fourth year in a row, Fortune magazine has recognized Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. as the world’s most admired tiremaker.
Goodyear ranked 3rd in Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies’ Motor Vehicle Parts category, and was the first tiremaker named.
Groupe Michelin took 5th and Continental took 8th in the Motor Vehicle Parts Category.
Started in 1983, the Fortune Most Admired list uses an assessment by nearly 4,000 executives, board directors and securities analysts to determine a company’s overall reputation by evaluating innovation, people management, use of assets, social responsibility, management quality, financial soundness, long-term investment, product/service quality and global competitiveness, the magazine said.
