Former Conti Deputy Director Appointed to Autoliv Board

The Board of Directors of automotive safety systems specialist Autoliv Inc. has elected former Continental AG deputy chairman Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Ziebart to the Board, following the announcement that Board member Per Welin will retire from the board at its 2009 AGM.

Ziebart has held several senior executive positions, primarily in the automotive industry. He first made a career within the BMW Group starting in 1977 and taking him all the way to the Board of Management at BMW AG, where he was responsible for research & development and purchasing. In 2000, he joined Continental AG to become member of the Management Board and, in 2001, deputy chairman of Continental AG. Between 2004 and 2008, he was president and CEO of Infineon Technologies AG, a global semiconductor and systems solutions provider based in Germany. (Tyres & Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)

Nokian Tyres releases 2023 sustainability report

Highlights of the company’s sustainability actions in 2023 include a commitment to achieve science-based net-zero emissions by 2050.

Nokian Tyres recently published its Sustainability Report 2023. According to the report, Nokian Tyres achieved several external sustainability ratings, such as inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index, platinum medal from EcoVadis, an AAA rating from MSCI and a leadership-level score of A- on the CDP Climate report.
