Flynn’s Tire Wholesale Starts Call Center

Flynn’s Tire Wholesale plans to open an order processing call center in its corporate office in West Middlesex, Penn. The company reported noticeable growth the past 10 years; adding a call center will help improve service to the company’s growing customer-base, it said.

“We wanted our distribution centers to focus only on the warehouse functions of supplying our customers with the tires they need when they need them,” said Shaun Fitzgerald, general manager of Flynn’s Tire Wholesale. “This call center was devised to allow both phone and B2B website orders to be handled by skilled, full-time operators whose sole function is to focus on taking our customers’ orders without being involved or distracted by shipping and receiving activities.”

Flynn’s Tire Wholesale operates four warehouses; one located in Solon, Ohio, and Carnegie, Greensburg and Mercer, Penn. The installation of a new inventory management system in all of these locations allows real-time management of inventory in one consolidated program. This inventory management system is fed into the new call center where operators place orders based on the actual inventory status.

Fitzgerald said consolidating the company’s order processing personnel into a single call center allowed the company to provide its accounts with extended hours and continuous coverage throughout the day. He said the new call center will be staffed from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Mark Munnell will supervise the call center.

Flynn’s Tire Wholesale customers can reach the call center by calling the toll free number at 877- 943-5966. Any of the old warehouse numbers dialed are automatically routed to the new call center.
