Firestone has teamed up with Major League Baseball to sponsor the sport’s All-Star balloting for the 2010 season. The five-year, multi-million dollar deal includes national advertising during broadcasts as well as in print publications at stadiums.
The deal marks the tiremaker’s first non-racing sponsorship in 25 years.
Firestone is in the process of producing two baseball-themed television commercials to run next season. The compant also plans to install in-store promotions related to baseball at its 7,500 retail outlets across the country.
