Firestone Facility Reaches Safety Milestone

Firestone Industrial Products Co.’s Williamsburg, Ky., manufacturing facility has reached 1 million man-hours without a lost-time accident.

“A milestone of this significance didn’t happen by coincidence. It took the effort of all of our teammates working together to create a safe work environment,” said Michael Weir, plant manager. “The safety of our teammates is the number one priority at all Firestone facilities, and this recognition demonstrates that the measures in place are working.”

The Williamsburg plant produces air springs and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2015. The plant previously reached the 1 million man-hours without a lost-time accident milestone in 2010.
