Falken All in With Social Media Push

Falken Tire has launched its new social media marketing efforts on the Internet.

Utilizing FaceBook and Twitter, Falken said its goal is “to reach the already dedicated Falken fans and educate and inspire them to spread the word about the Falken brand.”

“More than 350 million people are active on FaceBook, with about 50% of them active in some form every day,” Falken said. “Social media sites have become an invaluable tool for companies, like Falken, to connect and communicate with consumers old and new.”

As part of its social media drive, Falken launched a new FaceBook page where visitors can become “fans” and get up-to-the-minute updates from the tire company, including photos and videos from events and and chances to win free giveaways.

“This is the beginning of a new marketing strategy for Falken in 2010, combining print, Web and video to educate consumers on all the ways ‘We Get You Going,’”Falken said.
