Exide Technologies Appoints New Execs

Exide Technologies appointed three new executives to its leadership team. Anthony (Tony) Genito will serve as executive vice president and CFO; Leslie W. Joyce as executive vice president, CPO and vice president human resources-Americas; and Ted Becker as senior vice president of sales and marketing–Americas.

Tony Genito will lead Exide’s global finance and internal audit functions and brings with him more than 36 years of international financial and executive leadership experience. Leslie W. Joyce will oversee human resources activities across Exide’s worldwide operations such as talent management, leadership and organizational development, compensation and benefits, and labor and employee relations. Joyce brings more than 30 years human resources experience. Ted Becker will be responsible for Exide Americas’ divisional sales and marketing teams and functions such as original-equipment and aftermarket customer segments and related strategic and product planning activities. Becker joins Exide from Michelin Groupe.

“We have attracted considerable talent and proven experience to these critical management roles, and the individual and collective contributions of these new leaders will be a driving force behind Exide’s renewed market presence and growth strategy,” said Vic Koelsch, president and CEO of Exide Technologies.

The new executives assumed their roles this month in Atlanta.
