European Double Coin Sales Up

(Staffordshire, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) European Double Coin sales have increased “significantly” since Dutch wholesaler Inter-Sprint took over distribution in May 2006, the company has reported.

Since then, the European distribution channel has also enlarged to include: Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech, Sweden, Finland, Estonia. Inter-Sprint reports that it is also looking for distributors in the former Eastern Europe.

Double Coin’s Shanghai truck tyre factory is increasing production to 1.2 million tyres and is reportedly developing new low profile truck tyre sizes. In total, the Chinese manufacturer’s production capacity will total 4.7 million truck tyres in 2007, making Shanghai Rubber the biggest truck tyre manufacturer in China.

The new factory is also producing radial OTR tyres. These range from 17.5R25 to 29.5R25. Also, Bobcat sizes are available in 10R16.5 and 12R16.5. Crane sizes 1400R25 and 1600R25 are also available. Inter-sprint has been selling OTR tyres since October 2006 and continues to look for new OTR dealers in several countries.
