EU Determines Final Anti-Dumping Duties on Chinese Truck and Bus Tires

The Tire Retread and Repair Information Bureau  (TRIB) shared news from The European Retread Association (BIPAVER) on the European Commission's recent determination on Anti-Dumping (AD) measures.

The Tire Retread and Repair Information Bureau  (TRIB) shared news from The European Retread Association (BIPAVER) on the European Commission’s recent determination on Anti-Dumping (AD) measures.

TRIB said BIPAVER  has been working with the European Commission since late 2017 “to protect their domestic retread industries.”

“The European Commission has published today the final implementation of AD Measures against Chinese TBR imports.

“After the positive decision of the AD Committee about the implementation of AD Measures on 3rd October, the EC has now officially published in its Regulation (EU) 2018/1579 the decision.

“The applied duties range from 42.73€ ($48.69) to 61.76€ ($70.37) per tire.

“The regulation can be downloaded in different languages on Eur-Lex following the link:

“The measures will be applied starting October 23 and will replace with immediate effect the so far installed provisional measures.

“The Committee is also close to deciding Anti-Subsidy measures with the official announcement of their decision expected around November 7.”
