A disgruntled employee barricaded himself into a Nashville, Tenn., tire store on Aug. 30, holding police at bay for nearly three hours before finally giving himself up.
The standoff at Robin Hood Tire started in the morning, according to reports, when the 18-year-old man, who arrived at work late, went off on a co-worker and shoved a pistol into that man’s face.
The younger employee then left the store, and went to another building on the property where he again threatened his co-worker, stating “Come tomorrow I got something for you,” according to reports.
He then fired a shot into the air, and the standoff began.
Nashville police and SWAT team responded, shutting down the immediate area to all vehicle and foot traffic.
The standoff ended peacefully at around noon when the man gave himself up to police. He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
