A 21-year-old man died following an accident at the Frederick, Colo., tire store where he was employed.
While inflating a commercial truck tire at B.K. Tire, Eric Hayden Marshall was struck in the head by the tire and wheel when a failure occurred. He was airlifted to Denver Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
According to reports, the tire appeared to have damage before it was inflated. Police are calling the death an “industrial accident.”
Investigation into the incident has been turned over to the coroner and Occupational Safety and Health Administration, according to local media.
