Fairfield, Calif.-based tire dealerhip East Bay Tire Co. is celebrating its 65th year in business.

The fourth-generation, family-owned dealership is a wholesaler and exporter and operates multiple commercial tire centers. Founded in 1946, East Bay has locations in Fairfield, Fresno, Benicia, Sacramento and Pittsburg, Calif., and Honolulu.

The company said it also is celebrating a “banner year with growth in all divisions,” including its Dawg Pound private label line of specialty tires.

“Part of East Bay Tire’s success is its people,” said CEO George Pehanick. “Without our expert team members and management we wouldn’t be the same reliable company as we have been for the last 65 years. We look forward to helping our existing customers and many new ones with all their tire needs for many years to come.”

In this role, he will oversee all of material handling, port, earthmoving and agriculture tire business in the United States and Canada. The appointment took effect April 1.
