As America pauses to honor all military veterans this Veteran’s Day, Dunn Tire, a western New York tire retailer and automotive services provider, is giving customers a chance to support the area’s many military heroes in a special way this November through the Boots for Heroes program.
Throughout the entire month, customers at all 29 Dunn Tire locations in New York and Pennsylvania will be able to purchase a special paper boot in support of WNY Heroes, a local veterans’ assistance organization. For a minimum donation of $1, customers can purchase the boots and write their name and a message of support. The boots will be displayed throughout the store during November.
“Our Veterans are heroes from all walks of life who personify service and sacrifice,” said Robert Clark, managing director of retail operations, Dunn Tire. “Like all Americans, Dunn Tire wants to say ‘thank you’ to our military community, and we know that our customers across Western New York will join us in this special effort.”
Dunn Tire has a strong history with Western New York’s Veterans community. Earlier this year, the company raised more than $12,000 through a similar Stars for Heroes campaign, adding to the more than $30,000 Dunn Tire has raised in support of WNY Heroes over the years.
Founded in 2007, WNY Heroes provides veterans, members of the armed services, and the widows and children of deceased Veterans with access to essential services, financial assistance and resources that support their lives and sustain their dignity.
