Discount Tire opened its first tire store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Oct. 13. The opening also marks the fourth Discount Tire store within the state.

The 7,373-square-foot store will initially operate with 10 employees and add additional positions as it grows.

“Providing a needed service for tires in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is what makes us proud,” said Jon Nelson, store manager of the new Discount Tire. “We are happy to be part of the community and look forward to working with its residents and businesses for years to come.”

“As we continue our expansion in the Heartland region our main focus is seeking opportunities to serve communities like Cedar Rapids,” said Rob Wise, regional vice president for Discount Tire. “The need for tires is always growing and it is more important than ever for the Cedar Rapids community to have a reliable tire expert to educate them about the basics of tire safety.”
