Dill Air Controls Products is offering a pink air pressure gauge for breast cancer awareness, with all proceeds from the sale of the gauges to be donated to charity.
The move comes roughly a month after Dill lost an employee at its Oxford, N.C., factory to breast cancer.
“Instead of only thinking about breast cancer during the month of October, Dill will celebrate the life of our lost one by offering a pink air pressure gauge. Through the relationships and generosity of our customers, we will stand together, reinforcing the importance of early detection and the ongoing education to save lives,” the company said in a statement.
According to recent national statistics, 1 in 8 U.S. women and 1 in 9 CDN women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Although not as common, this disease also affects men.
The air gauges will be sold 50 to a glass jar. For more information, contact Dill’s customer service team at 919-692-2300.
