The order impacts retirees from closed or sold CTNA plants in Charlotte, Mayfield, Ky., and Bryan, Ohio, according to the union.
The USW sued CTNA claiming the tiremaker tried to reduce medical coverage to plant retirees from the facilities after it decided to either end tire production as was the case with the Charlotte and Mayfield plants or sold.
The USW claimed the retirees’ coverage was set as part of its master contract with the company.
CTNA sold its OTR tire plant in Bryan to Titan International last year.
