A U.S. District Court has temporarily postponed a rule issued by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) that would require employers to display a poster to inform their workers of their right to unionize and bargain collectively.
Among the rule’s requirements was one where employers would have been required to display a 11×17-inch poster informing workers of their bargaining rights.
The NLRB rule was to take effect on April 30, and is widely opposed by numerous business groups over concerns that it unfairly promotes unionization.
The poster requirement in particular was originally scheduled to take effect last November but is currently being reviewed by the courts to determine its legality.
