Cordiant the New Name for Sibur-Russian Tires - Tire Review Magazine

Cordiant the New Name for Sibur-Russian Tires

Sibur-Russian Tires has renamed itself as Cordiant, effective April 3.

According to the company, Cordiant is the most famous tire brand in the Russian market and is one of just three "recognizable brands" relating to tires in Russia.

"Renaming the company is not only a change of shareholders, but also to the evolutionary development of the company’s transition from a strategy of consolidating fragmented industry assets to the strategy of innovative development," the general director of the holding company commented in an official statement on its website.

Legally renaming as "Cordiant" was accompanied by the introduction of a new corporate identity, which uses elements of external and internal design of factories, the new corporate branding and other visual elements.

Scientific and technological development reportedly comes under a separate subsidiary – STC Intayr. The total number of workers employed by Cordiant is said to be more than 10,000.  (Tyres & Accessories)
