Cooper is sponsoring the First Tee Training Center and its establishment of the First Tee Cooper Tire Training Center at Red Hawk Run Golf Club in Findlay, Ohio.

First Tee Training Center is a northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan nonprofit that provides educational programs and promotes values through golf for kids between six and 18 years old. The new program site is Hancock County’s first through the John Cook Family Foundation at Red Hawk Run Golf Club.

“Cooper believes in the power of this program to help transform lives,” said Roy Armes, Cooper’s chairman, CEO and president. “This organization allows kids—who without The First Tee may never be exposed to the game of golf—learn how to play. Yet, most important, is the way this organization helps build values such as honesty, integrity, confidence, sportsmanship, perseverance and good judgment that will help young people make the right choices throughout their lifetime.”

The training center will include a six-hole, par three golf course and a driving range. A pavilion will later be added.
