At the company’s annual meeting yesterday, held in Detroit instead of Findlay, company chairman and CEO Roy Armes indicated that Cooper may shutter three of its current distribution centers and replace them with two larger facilities, according to news reports.
Armes, according to the reports, said the company could save by closing centers in Moraine, Ohio, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Dayton, N.J., and placing larger warehouses in unspecified locations in the Midwest and the east coast.
Last year, Cooper announced plans to close the Moraine distribution center. (Tire Review/Akron)
