Cooper introduced the new GFE tire (greater fuel efficiency, as its initials imply), designed to reduce rolling resistance without sacrificing tread life or traction. The “green” tire combines state-of-the-art mixing technology together with an enhanced polymer system and silica tread compound to provide exceptional wear, fuel economy, improved wet traction and a smooth quiet ride, says Cooper. The Cooper GFE is available in a 14- through 16-inch size range that will fit many popular fuel-efficient vehicles, according to the company.
