During this year’s National Teen Driver Safety Week, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is participating in the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) Teen Safe Driving Summit, which runs Oct. 17-20 at the Hilton Old Town in Alexandria, Va.
Tristan Nunez, a 19-year-old Mazda Factory race car driver and distracted driving prevention advocate, is representing Cooper at the event.
Nunez was at the Summit’s Interactive Lab Station on Oct. 18 to demonstrate tire safety tips such as checking proper tread depth and inflation pressure. He will also participate on a panel discussion concerning distracted driving.
The Teen Safe Driving Summit began five years ago as a distracted driving prevention event and has expanded to include many driving and tire safety issues.
