Continental Presents Short Series on ESPN

Conti-LamborghiniSoccer and racing combine in a new seven-part series on ESPN FC – “What’Cha Got,” presented by Continental Tire. For the series, six Major League Soccer (MLS) players will trade in their cleats and sit behind the wheel of a 2014 Lamborghini.

Following instruction from a Tudor United SportsCar Championship driver, the players will navigate an autocross course in an MLS stadium parking lot competing in a shoot-out style event. Eventually two players will be left with the chance to compete for a year-long lease of the Lamborghini.

“We are happy to launch our first season with Major League Soccer and Continental Tire,” said host, Townsend Bell. “It was a great experience to share my racing passion with these athletes. I’m excited for soccer fans as they watch some of the best athletes in the sport take on the challenge of driving at the limit. With a supercar on the line for the fastest driver, they really go for it.”

The show’s six participants are Giles Barnes, Graham Zusi, and Sean Johnson from the Eastern Conference, and Chandler Hoffman, Stephen Keel, and Dan Kennedy from the Western Conference.

The series will air Oct. 19 through Dec. 7, with each episode featuring a different player.
