Continental Announces Winners of ‘Eco’ Challenge

Continental Tire announced the winners of its “How Eco Are You?” photo contest, which challenged consumers to enter their most creative and original ecologically impactful photo.

A total of six pictures made the cut, including a grand prize-winning photo of an outdoor sun shower from Cheshire, Conn. The winner received a five-day/four-night trip for two to The Vila Gale Eco Resort De Angra Dos Reis in Rio de Janiero,Three first-prize winners received a set of four Continental tires, and two second prize winners received Flip Video Camcorders.

“This challenge was designed to not only show eco-friendly pictures, but also to inspire people to find ways of living green every day,” said Dana Zamalloa, manager of public relations and communications for Continental Tire. “And that’s exactly why we designed the ProContact with EcoPlus Technology tire. We want to make a difference by reducing CO2 emissions and encouraging our customers to think green and to live green — not just every now and then, but by making substantial changes in their everyday lives.”
